Smoked Salmon Roulade
Rich roulade of smoked salmon with a filling of cream cheese, flaked poached salmon, prawns and fresh basil.

Beetroot, Goats Cheese and Watercress Salad
Sweet beetroot is lovely with goats cheese and the bitterness of watercress, with a homemade French dressing, served with crunchy bread

Creamy Garlic Mushrooms
Wild, exotic and field mushrooms cooked in butter, garlic and cream
Served on homemade Soda Bread toast

Main Courses

Slow Cooked Shoulder of Lamb
Lamb cooked with onions, Borlotti beans, carrots, celery, rosemary and garlic, slowly cooked on a low heat until falling off the bone in strong cider, gorgeous with mashed potatoes

Sausages and Lentils
Our own butchers sausages, browned and cooked with red onions and Puy lentils. In a rich beef gravy, fabulous with mashed potatoes

Seabass Cooked in Salt
Whole seabass caked in salt and oven baked. With garlic baked new potatoes and a fresh green salad or vegetables

Poached Chicken Salad
Chicken breast with avocados, spring onions, red peppers and flat leaf parsley all in a spiced mayonnaise, sprinkled with pine nuts and eaten with warm potatoes

Puddings

Gooseberry Fool
The gooseberries are from my Mother’s orchard, poached in our homemade Elderflower cordial and folded into a homemade custard made with Vanilla pods. Pretty in a glass with a sprig of mint.

Homemade Ice Creams;
Lemon and Basil, Strawberry and Cream, Vanilla and Ginger. All really good, served as a trio or on their own with an Almond Biscuit

Baked Figs and Plums
Whole plums and figs, sprinkled with brown sugar and baked in the oven, served warm with a thick honey yogurt

Eton-ish Mess
Homemade meringue made with brown sugar, raspberries and cream. Such a good combination

Chocolate Tart
Gooey, dark and completely sinful tart that is good on it’s own, with cream or ice cream and best with raspberry sauce and berries.
